Designed by Carl Wilhelm Aydt and patented during 1884 in Germany. The Aydt action became a favorite rifle for building a offhand target rifle for Schuetzen competition. This rifle is stocked in walnut, with a checkered wrist for a secure grip. The stock is trimmed with traditional iron furniture. The action has a integral base for a tang sight.
